Thorne Calcium provides highly absorbable dicalcium malate to support strong bones and teeth, along with optimal muscle and nerve function.* 

The recommended daily intake of calcium for adults is 1000 mg, or about three servings of calcium-rich foods daily. Research indicates that a large proportion of adults in the United States are not meeting this recommendation through diet alone.  

Each capsule of Thorne Calcium contains 250 mg of elemental calcium, bound to malic acid, which is more concentrated and better absorbed than conventional supplement forms of calcium, like calcium carbonate. Dicalcium malate consists of one molecule of malic acid that is bound to two molecules of calcium, which results in a compound that is 29% calcium – compared to, for example, calcium citrate, which is 19% calcium – thus resulting in more elemental calcium per capsule.
