Beta Alanine-SR is required for the body to make carnosine, which is responsible for buffering the hydrogen ions created during energy production in the muscles.* Carnosine helps maintain normal acidity levels in the muscles, because acidity is a major contributor to muscle fatigue. Supplementing with beta alanine supports muscle health, muscle work capacity, and perceived time-to-exhaustion in both anaerobic exercise that lasts 1-4 minutes and aerobic exercise that lasts longer than four minutes.* Beta alanine has also been shown to benefit athletic performance.* For example, studies have shown improvements in fatigue in cyclists, in 2,000-meter rowing time trials, in strength in college football athletes, and in sprint performance in endurance cyclists.* Two tablets of Thorne’s Beta-Alanine-SR contain 1.6 grams of sustained-release beta-alanine (as CarnoSyn®).

Creatine plays an important role in the production of cellular energy because it helps the body make ATP, the molecule needed by all of the body’s cells and the one that has been shown to support increased work capacity and power output of muscle while also promoting physical endurance and lean body mass gain.* Each serving of Thorne’s Creatine contains 5 grams of creatine monohydrate.

Amino Complex contains a high amount of branched-chain amino acids in a formula that has been validated through numerous clinical trials for promoting lean muscle mass and muscle strength.* The branched-chain amino acids in Amino Complex promote mitochondrial biogenesis, which provides energy to the cells.* Amino acid supplementation has also been shown to decrease fat synthesis and promote energy production.* Thorne’s Amino Complex is available in either lemon or berry flavor.
